The race is hotting up to sign highly rated central defender Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig.
The German club are set to lose Upamecano, as he has a buyout clause that activates this summer.
According to Spanish outlet AS, only three clubs are in the race to sign the 22-year-old.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Liverpool will be fighting for the Frenchman, who is rated as one of Europe’s most exciting youngsters.
Others who had been linked with Upamecano include Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Upamecano will likely be able to choose his next club, with his £38m release clause affordable for all parties involved.
