The Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has agreed and set the first week of October for the Start of the 2020/21 Football season after its Wednesday July 14 meeting.
The Executive Council is however seeking the direction from Government of Ghana and the Ministry of Health on the future outcome of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ghana FA canceled the 2019/20 season after a three-month suspension due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The ExCo at its meeting stressed that should the virus be contained and the Government lifts the ban on contact sports, the new season will start from October 2020 and end in May 2021.
The FA is set to release the calender for the coming season which will include the international calendar.
