AFCON 2021 QUALIFIER: Ghana FA to announce Black Stars squad for Sudan clash on Tuesday

The Ghana Football Association will announce the Black Stars squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday, according to footballmadeinghana.

Head coach Charles Akonnor has handed the list over to the Ghana FA after defending his selection at the top hierarchy of the federation on Thursday.

Akonnor embarked on an European tour where he visited and monitored many Ghanaian players before submitting his list.

The 23-man squad he submitted to the FA will be made public on Tuesday while the coach prepares for media engagement afterwards.

FootballMadeInGhana also understands that several home-based players will be handed call ups following their sterling performances in the Ghana Premier League.

This will be Akonnor’s first ever call-ups as Black Stars coach and the inclusion of home-based players will give an idea of how he monitors and appreciates players on the local front.

Ghana will engage Sudan at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on March 27 with the second leg coming off seven days later at the Al Hilal Stadium in Omdurman.
