The hosts stunned the three-time African champions when they took the lead through Nkoto Masoabi in the 11th minute.

The Super Eagles however rallied back through goals from Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukuweze and Victor Osimhen who netted a brace.

Rohr also praised the opponents for their brave efforts in the game.

“I want to thank Lesotho people for their hospitality. We know it will be difficult to play here [Maseru], Lesotho gave us a lot of troubles,” Rohr told a news conference.

“We are happy with the win. It put us in a good position to qualify for the competition.”

The West Africans who have now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last four matches top Group L on six points from two games.
