Ghana Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton has assured that the Black Stars are motivated and are ready to deliver against Madagascar.

The West African country will be hosted at the Mahamasina Municipal Stadium in Antananarivo in the matchday five games of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers on Sunday.

Having trained for the past four days, the Black Stars are expected to leave the shores of the country for the game later today.

Ahead of the clash, Hughton beleives the players are ready to deliver.

“The players have been good in training and we are ready to deliver against Madagascar,” he told SuperSport.

“The players will not get a chance to play again until September when the final games will be played.

“They are motivated and have trained well for this game and we hope to get the right results,” the 64-year-old added.

Ghana goes into the game knowing that they are a win away from securing qualification for the next AFCON tournament to be held in Ivory Coast next year.

The Black Stars currently lead Group E with eight points. The game has been scheduled to kick off at 17:00GMT.
