Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, son of the Former Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama, will on Monday host players, Technical Team, Management and some prominent figures in the game over dinner at his residence to motivate them after their stunning season which saw the team gained promotion back to the Premier League after eight years.
Alhaji Farouk, the Member of Parliament for Yendi Constituency want be a shareholder of the Pride of the North and has been impressed with the performance of the side moving him to offer this gesture.
He will host the players at his plush residence to encourage them to do much better as they climb the ladder to the top flight of Ghana Football next season. He will also take the opportunity to donate 5000 Ghana cedis to the team for their efforts and present sets of jerseys to the RTU.
He was present on Sunday during the final funeral rights of the late Jones Abu Alhassan, who worked alongside his later father in the early 80s.
The Board Chair of the Ghana Integrated Iron and Steel Corporation, on Saturday promised to continue the legacy his father, who was the Board Chairman of RTU, left behind when the team met him during their thank you tour to Prominent Traditional leaders in the Region.
The Pride of the won returned to the Ghana Premier League after eight years on the final day of the 2021-21 season and would compete in the Maiden Super Cup organized by The GFA to prepare teams for the new season.
