Reports from many outlets and popular journalist Gary-Al Smith has reported that Asante Kotoko will be heading to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), the superior court for Sports.
According to the Porcupine Warriors, it has substantial evidence against Al-Hilal after second Covid-19 test results conducted by a Military Hospital in Khartoum produced different findings from the first conducted by Ashadeed Ataya Lab in Omdurman.
As it stands now, CAF have given the Sudanese club a berth into the next stage at the expense of Asante Kotoko.
Should the Ghanaian club proceed to CAS and win the legal battle against CAF, then the return match will be scheduled to decide who proceeds to the next stage of the competition.
Asante Kotoko lost at home by 1-0 to Al-Hilal in the first encounter in Ghana and is looking to revenge the scoreline and proceed to the next stage of the competition.
