Barcelona‘s players have rejected a pay-cuts proposal by the board.

Due to the coronavirus suspension, Barca are facing a heavy financial hit going into next season and have requested the players take a cut on their wages.

The initial proposal is for a 70 per cent reduction for all members of Barca’s professional teams.

But AS says the leaders of each team have rejected the suggestion. The local players’ union support the players’ position.

The rejection was made despite Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu’s offer to assist the players in re-adjusting the cuts to 50 per cent.
