Bayern Munich chief Oliver Kahn has refused to back coach Julian Nagelsmann criticism of Barcelona over their deal for Robert Lewandowski.
Nagelsmann hit out at Barca stating it “is the only club in the world that has no money, but then buys all the players it wants”.
But yesterday, Kahn was asked to support his coach’s comments and instead stated: “Barça indeed has a lot of debt, but we cannot judge from afar, only the club knows its numbers, so you have to be careful when making comments.”
Kahn was speaking at the presentation of new signing Matthijs de Ligt.
Bayern are paying a fee rising to €90m to Juventus for De Ligt.
