The Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Alhaji Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo has charged the East Gonja Municipal Football Association (MFA) to devise innovative ways to attract support for the organization of football in the area.
He said the organization of a competitive modern football requires both financial and material resources, indicating it would only take innovative and proactive leadership to garner the resources.
Alhaji Rhyzo who was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the East Gonna MFA, advised the members of the various committees of the Municipal FA to fashion out plans and strategies to woe private businesses and investors to commit resources for the revival and growth of the game in the area.
He observed that the East Gonja Municipal Assembly and the Savanna Regional Coordinating Council are also critical stakeholders and would serve as father figures for the Municipal FA.
Alhaji Rhyzo therefore tasked the Municipal FA to build a good rapport with the RCC and the Municipal Assembly in order to easily access them for any possible support.
“The FA and clubs in the municipality also have a cooperate social responsibility towards the RCC and the Assembly. Anytime the Coordinating Council or the Assembly has communal activity, the FA, Clubs and players have a duty to participate actively. You as FA and clubs can sometimes initiates these activities, especially clean up exercises in the area. By doing that, you are supporting the assembly and anytime you need them, they would certainly respond appropriately” Alhaji Rhyzo stated.
The Chairman of the East Gonja Municipal Football Association Moses Baba Debezee, expressed gratitude to Alhaji Rhyzo for his continuous support to football and pledged to work assiduously to revive competitive football in the municipality.
