The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has in effect declared Al-Hilal Omdurman FC winners of the game against Asante Kotoko Sporting Club citing failure to raise a team for the match.
By this, Kumasi Asante Kotoko officially have lost the game by 2 nil per the regulations.
Below is the statement:
According to Kotoko, four officials and seven players are alleged to have tested positive for covid after the results of the test came in.
The Covid results were delivered by known Officials of Al Hilal but suspiciously enough, the Positive results clearly look different from the Negative results.
The team has made an official complaint to the match commissioner as the covid results have clearly been tampered with. The team was however at the Stadium to present a team.
The Porcupine Warriors were going into the game at a disadvantage following their 1-0 defeat to the Sudanese giants at the Accra Sports Stadium some weeks ago but were very optimistic of over turning the results.
