Flanked by his Excellency Mamadi Diané freshly nominated Ivory Coast Ambassador at Large by President Alassane Ouattara.
President Ahmad took the platform to explain to the Ivorian Head of State why it is in the best interest of Ivory Coast to host Afcon 2023.
The Ivorian delegation that took part in the meeting was headed by the Minister of Sports Paulin Danho, Sidy Diallo president of Ivorian Football Federation(FIF), Sory Diabate 1st Vice President of FIF and Feh Kessé President of the local organising committee.
President Alassane Ouattara accepted the explanation and proposals of President Ahmad Ahmad.
In front of the media CAF President confirmed Cameroon 2021, Ivory Coast 2023 and Guinea 2025.
In his acceptance speech, the Ivorian Minister of Sports expressed the full support of Ivorian Government and its people to the entire Cameroon in the name of African Brotherhood.
The minister mentioned the huge effort and sacrifices Cameroon invested therefore deserve to host 2021.
Paulin Danho said “I received clear directives from my Head of State to work towards the fulfilment of Afcon 2023, bring peace in the divided local football and build a smooth relationship with the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
President Ahmad expressed his gratitude and thanks to the President of Cameroon His Excellency Paul Biya, His Excellency Alpha Condé of Guinea, and His Excellency Alassane Ouattara of Ivory Coast the host of the day.
