Will Cameroonian footballers finally get paid? It seems that in 24 hours things have cleared up. The Cameroon Professional Football League (LFPC) says it will release 84 million FCFA for the 24 clubs of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 in Cameroon to pay the arrears.

The alert was launched by the National Union of Footballers of Cameroon (Synafoc) and FIFPro. Both organizations denounced the salary conditions of Cameroonian professional players. Some have not been paid for nearly two years.

An unbearable situation for the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) who punched the table. In a letter to the new president of FECAFOOT, Seydou Mbombo Njoya, FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura asked him “to take the necessary steps urgently to ensure that the salaries and bonuses due to the players of these 24 clubs, in accordance with the relevant contractual obligations, be paid in the near future. ” It seems that she was heard even if FIFA gives the FECAFOOT until March 4th to provide a report summarizing the measures taken to resolve this crisis.
