Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has ambitions of coaching Barcelona.

That’s according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, when speaking on the Onze programme.

“His dream is to train in LaLiga and do what he couldn’t do as a player,” said Balague.

“He would like to sit on the bench at the Camp Nou and coach Barça.”

Balagué also recalled that Lampard was already close to signing for Barça in 2005.

Meanwhile, Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti says former club Chelsea needs to back manager Frank Lampard.

Ancelotti says under-pressure Chelsea boss Lampard must be given time by Roman Abramovich.

Lampard is among the bookies’ favourites to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job, after his Chelsea side slumped to four defeats in their last six games.

Ancelotti knows all about the pressure Lampard is under, having been sacked as Chelsea boss a year after winning a Premier League and FA Cup double.

And he told Gazzetta dello sport: “”They’ve bought a lot of players in the summer and in this case, like at Juventus, there needs to be patience, a rare commodity in football.”
