Berekum based division one side Arsenal pulled a vital draw out of the blazing temperatures in Tamale after playing out a 0-0 scoreline against Real Tamale Utd.

After a narrow 1-0 defeat in match day one against Bofoakwa Tano, Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko was plotting for a win in his first home game of the season.

An entertaining football at the Aliu Mahama Stadium between the two sides couldn’t suffice a goal as the referee ended the game with Arsenal going home with a point. New signings Bawa Samuel and Baba Kushebu were the talk of the day after some wonderful displays while right full back Mark Tonto won the man of the match.

Real Tamale Utd dominated possession in the entire game, but failed to score from the few chances created.

Berekum Arsenal came into the clash having drawn their opening game at home over the weekend and though did threaten at certain point in the match, they were satisfied with the results.

RTU will trek to Nkuranza on Sunday hoping to revive their hopes of qualifying to play in the top tie of Ghana football.
