Tamale born striker, Abubakari Sumaila has penned a 3 year deal with Albanian club, Skenderbeu, a second tier side. This comes after the club has shown interest in him for considerable time.
Sumaila is a product of Zaytuna FC, a popular talent home in Tamale. He rose through the ranks in the club and enhanced their qualification to Division 2 few seasons ago by leading the scoring chart with 13 goals.
He would later move to Cheetah FC based in Kasoa, where he cemented his place as their lead striker and scored loads of goals. Afterwards, he joined Mountaineers FC in Accra and continued his exploits.
The 19 year-old is blessed with good height and physique. He is noted for his ability in the air and burst of pace. He also has a skill-set that makes him leave his markers behind before employing his trademark shooting.
Sumaila is a promising goal-poacher who can rise in a matter of time. Skenderbeu offers him a platform to fulfill his talent. If his career goes as anticipated, he will be a hot cake because he does what is expected of him – score goals.
