Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Black stars defender Shilla Iliasu has named his all-time best Black Stars XI which features the majority of players who represented the country in the maiden world cup edition at Germany 2006.

The players he named included; Richard Kingston, John paintsil, Habib Mohammed, John Mensah, Stephen Appiah, Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari, Mathew Amoah, Asamoah Gyan, and Haminu Dramani.

The former RTU defender, however, could not select who to partner John Mensah at the heart of defense between himself and Former Bayern Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffour, and therefore charged Football fanatics to determine who is best between the two, to form that solid partnership at the back with the “Rock of Gibraltar” (John Mensah).

Shilla Iliyasu made these pronouncements when he appeared on Sagani TV’s GAME DAY show on Saturday.

He was an integral member of Ghana’s squad at the Germany 2006 FIFA World Cup and has played for King Faisal, RTU and Kotoko in the domestic league, before plying his trade in Europe for FC Saturn in the Russian top flight.

Hitherto to his successful football career, as a young chap, he played for Real Republicans, a colts club in Tamale.
