FC Savanah unveils new jerseys for 2019/20 season

Savannah FC have unveiled their new jerseys for the 2019 2020 football season.

The event was held at the Aliu mahama sports stadium on Saturday and attended by former players of Real Tamale Utd, Kassim Perez and Alhaji Karim Starboy.

Asamoah Abigail and Latifa where some of the players who cut ‘walked in the new kits to give the fans and the media what to expect when the season begins.

Speaking at the event, the CEO of the Madam Eunice stated that unveiling their kits for the season was part of the activities to kick start the two-year project of the club which was halted by the Anas expose`.

“This is actually a way to kick start our season, we had a two-year project which was halted by the expose` last season and we want to continue the project ”

The clubs president, Mr Osman Olando, a former Kotoko and Black Stars player, also mentioned at the event the need for all clubs (women ) to come together and make things work for their own bebefit.

” It’s really worrisome when you look at the situation of the clubs here in the north. we have majority of the women clubs in the country but yet when it comes to the premier League we have only two representives and the is bad. Because it’s more opportunities to clubs in the south than us. Our two clubs for instance would travel almost six times, but the southern trams only do so twice. So where are the clubs going to get money from to fund their trips. So we should look at it carefully and come together to make things work” he said.

Six new players were also introduced by the club.

FC Savanah joins Bagabaga Ladies, and the two National Women League sides from the north who would be playing the MTN FA this season.
