Football for the World Foundation, a US-based organisation yesterday donated football items to Tamale Liberty FC a multi-division club in the Northern Region of Ghana.
The donation was made possible due to the club’s former player Nuhu Rashid’s association with the Union Omaha Professional Team.
In all, a total of 30 footballs, 24 jerseys, 26 white shorts, 16 football boots, 3 goalkeeper jerseys and shorts and other items were donated to Tamale Liberty FC that has U-8, U-10, U-12, U-15, U-17, Division 3 and Division 2 under its umbrella.
Head Coach of the club Adjei Thomas receiving the items on behalf of the club said they are grateful to Football for the World Foundation and Rashid for the kind gesture and assured that the items would be put into good use.
