Gbewaa’s Div One League woes deepen, lose 0-4 to Nkoranza Warriors

Gbewaa FC’s quest to stay in the second tie of Ghana Football took a serious hit as they lost to Nkoranza Warriors at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

The Yendi based division one side suffered another painful home defeat to Worriers as the away side capitalised on some glaring errors to win 4-0 on Saturday, boosting their Premier League hopes and denting the home side chances of staying in the division.

The defeat, their second on the trot at home leaves Gbewaa Fc in 15th place, fourteen points adrift of leaders B. A United and just two ahead of Paga Crocodile who languishes at the bottom after eleven matches. Gbewaa have been left licking their wounds after just two wins in their last eleven league games.

Nkoranza Worrieors, however, have been rejuvenated by new manager Frimpong Manso, his second spell with the club, climbing to third with twenty one points.

In other results, Berekum Arsenal held league leaders B.A United to a goalless score at the Coronation Pak in Sunyani.
