The Federation of International Football Association has warned Ghanaian club owners and administrators that their wish to attend the Elective Congress will not be granted if they do not approve the new statuses recommended by the Normalization Committee.

Addressing delegates at the 2019 GFA Extraordinary Congress, FIFA’s rep Luca Nicole urged the gathering to accept the statuses since that will pave way for the elections they so much desire.

He mentioned that the NC held consultations with various stakeholders before coming out with the new statuses and expressed optimism that the statuses will serve the interest of Ghana football.

“These draft statutes are the result of a long consultative process between the NC and FIFA and if members fail to come to an agreement on the approval, there will be no elective congress.”

The 2019 GFA Extraordinary Congress is seen us the penultimate hurdle in the return of Ghana Premier League and FA Cup.

Ghana football has been in a dormant state since the release of the investigative piece by Anas Aremeyaw Anas dubbed Number 12 in 2018.
