The Ghana Football Association has proposed a budget of $10.8M to Government for the organization of domestic competitions for the 2019/20 season.

According to our sources, the Ghana Premier League alone was allotted a whooping $2.8M to help cover its organization.

This move by the FA was necessitated by the fact corporate Ghana have not been forthcoming with their bid to sponsor the upcoming domestic competitions.

Moreover, the Ministry of Youth and Sports sponsored the Special competition under the management Normalisation committee, and the new administration is seeking to get the ministry to do the same for the 2019/2020 season.

Time is ticking to the start of the new season which is scheduled to kick off on the weekend of December 28 and the FA is still hopeful of receiving a positive feedback from the Sports Ministry.
