Head coach of Real Tamale United , Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko is calling for support for the club to ensure they succeeds ahead of the new season, which kicks off in January 2021.

The Ghana Football Association on Wednesday announced the postponement of the Division One League which was scheduled to kick off on the 3rd of December.

Reacting to the change of date, coach Tanko said though it will distract plans of technical handlers but will also help those who didn’t start pre season early.

Speaking to Sey Mubarick on the sidelines of the announcement, Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko emphasized the need for stakeholders of the club to support financially to bring the club back into the top flight of Ghana Football, which according to him is their objective this year.

“you know that we have been training for the past eight weeks and can confidently say we have a good squad to qualify, but our major challenge is finance, the players haven’t been paid anything since we started and sychologically they are not all that sound because of monetary issues” the former Hearts of Oak gaffer lamented.

Asked if Real Tamale United have the materials to fight the rest of the Zone 1 clubs, coach Tanko mentioned that the only hindrance to the team’s qualification will be finance and that if the boys are motivated for their efforts, no team can beat the Pride of the North.

The team however will continue their pre season with a friendly encounter against Catholic Stars on Sunday at the Nobisco Park.
