Fuseini Mustapha and Stephen Dadu Dankwa put Real Tamale United on course for a

comprehensive pre-season win against a Select Side at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Sunday.

Just a week after beating Bolga All Stars at the same venue, the Pride of the North played host

to a team made of young and experienced players from across various teams in the Metropolis.

The visitors showed flashes of quality at the early stages of the game but were eventually rolled over,

with RTU winning 7-2 despite coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko completely rotating his side at half-time.

An impressive fine move involving new boys Kojo Poku and Ibrahim Nawas led to 18-year-old Stephen’s first goal of the afternoon,

with Nawas doubling that advantage with a fine penalty.

Stephen added to his opener before the break but it was Fuseini Mustapha who stole the show with a 12-minute hat-trick as a substitute

before Stephen completed the thrashing with his third with the last kick of the game.

Though RTU was pegged back with two consolation goals in the second half,

the atmosphere and competitiveness were unlike most friendlies, which the club followed with their next game against Catholic Stars from Walewale on Sunday.
