A three-star performance from Real Tamale United gave them a comfortable win over mid table side Young Apostles as they maintain their charge for Premier League football next season.

Ronald Frimpong opened the floodgates with a neat finish, his 5th goal of the season after joining the club during the second transfer windows.

Frimpong turned provider when he teed up Fawzan Alhassan on the break for the second goal of the game and Mohammed Sadat rounded off a dominant RTU performance when he converted from the spot kick after Mustapha Mohammed had half the score right after the home sides second.

The result leaves the Pride of the North sitting in second place, one point behind Steadfast but with an outstanding case against Techiman City.

Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko said after the match that attention has already turned to their next match against local rivals, Tamale City who gave themselves hope in the race after beating Nsoatreman FC by a goal to nil on Saturday.

RTU were the dominant side at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium but needed help from Frimpong, Fawzan and Sadat to maintain their search for Top flight football after 9 years in the Division One.

Young Apostles had their chances but their two game unbeaten run in a row is over, with RTU making double over the Sunyani based side.
