Ghana must promote juvenile football if she wants to conquer world football – NRFA Chairman Alhaji Rhyzo

The Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association (NRFA) Alhaji Abu Hassan Mahamadu Rhyzo, has observed the need to pay particular attention to juvenile football in Ghana.

He said for a nation to grow to become the best footballing country in the world, there must be a conscious attempt to develop, support, and promote any form of grassroot soccer.

Alhaji Rhyzo who was speaking at the official inauguration ceremony of the West Gonja Municipal Football Association therefore commended the Ghana FA Boss Kurt Okraku for his commitment towards improving financial, technical, and logistical support at the juvenile level.

“The GFA has a special package for juvenile football in the country. The fact that the GFA Boss himself offered to Chair the Juvenile Committee of the FA, is a clear indication of his resolve to improve grassroot soccer” Alhaji Rhyzo posited.

The Chairman of the NRFA assured he is committed to supporting any effort towards the improvement of the game at the grassroot level and charged the West Gonja Municipal FA to give priority to juvenile football.

The Chairman of the West Gonja Municipal Association Sumani Iddrisu Mohammed pledged his administration would sustain juvenile competition in the municipality to further the growth of the game.
