Real Tamale United were handed an injury boost ahead of this weekend’s Ghana Premier League tie with Berekum Chelsea as Ronald Frimpong and Stephen Dankwah Badu returned to training.
The pair sustained knocks in RTU’s 2-0 victory over Ashgold last Sunday, and were doubtful for the trip to Berekum after they failed to return to training on Tuesday and Wednesday.
However the two were spotted in training on Thursday afternoon in what seems a boost for the Pride of the North. Frimpong suffered what seems a hamstring during the first half of Sunday’s win, while playmaker Stephen picked up a “Knock”.
Speaking ahead of the weekend’s away trip, club medical officer Iddrisu Abdul Somed was unsure whether they would return, but it appears they have recovered in time for matchday six.
Head coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko is optimistic that the Premier League top assists Star, Frimpong, will be available to face Berekum Chelsea as they search for their first away win after two attempts.
