Pearlpia Ladies manager Baba Nuhu Malam says the team is planning to resume training for the first time on Thursday after the NWL season was canceled seven months ago.

The National Women’s League campaign was curtailed by the FA in March following “overwhelming feedback from clubs over concern of the Coronavirus Pandemic”.

Baba Nuhu Malam, who is back to Tamale having been with the National U-17 team, the Black Maidens in Cape Coast, says it is the right decision and is hopeful pre-season will bring something new to the club.

Pearlpia Ladies had an impressive season before their campaign was halted by the Pandemic. Though the team is faced with issues of having their players joined the nationals teams during international duties, Baba Nuhu is sure the team will have enough time to prepare ahead of the new season which kicks off in January 2021.

The team will train at the Aliu Mahama Stadium Annex five.
