As a huge boost to female participation in coaching in the North, the Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo has promised to refund half of the amount paid by female participants at this year’s GFA License D coaching course currently ongoing at the Aliu Mahama Sports stadium in Tamale.
Addressing 30 grassroot and elite coaches on Monday, Alhaji Rhyzo described coaching as an integral part of football and for the ladies to have taken the bold step to partake in the exercise, demonstrate their commitment to ensuring the development of talents in the Region.
He therefore heaped praises on the three ladies who are participating in the License D coaching course and promised to refund half of the amount they paid to encourage women to venture into coaching.
The father of Football Development in the Northern Region believes the advance training by instructors Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, Maxwell Konadu, Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko and Baba Nuhu Mallam, will give coaches in the region the chance to learn new skills for the good of the game.
