Real Madrid president Florentino Perez top choice for the club’s coaching post is still in work.
While Santiago Solari has a deal to 2021, the general belief is the Argentine remains a stop-gap as Real continue to stumble.
Okdiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda says Florentino has plans to bring in a bigger name.
“Massimiliano Allegri is the coach he wanted last summer and who he wants next summer. He is a coach with whom he spoke personally last summer and called him on the phone. Since then, Florentino Pérez has not forgotten about Allegri,” said Inda, who admits the candidacy of Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is fading.
“Pochettino is leaving impossible because (Spurs chairman) Levy does not release him and he has a contract.
“Allegri can go to Real Madrid and Zidane to Juventus if the proper proposal is made. Allegri is the coach that is most favoured in the board room of the Santiago Bernabéu.”
