Lionel Messi has assured Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta he’s willing to sign a new contract and stay – but there are conditions.
That’s according to Okdiario’s chief football pundit Eduardo Inda, while speaking on El Chiringuito.
Messi’s current deal expires in June, so leaving him currently free to commit to a pre-contract agreement with any foreign club.
But Inda revealed, “Messi has told Laporta, the best president for Barcelona and the worst for Real Madrid, that if a competitive team with three or four stars join him, he would be willing to stay at Barcelona.”
Laporta has long stated he is the one candidate Messi trusts, thanks to their previous success together with Barca in his first spell as president.
