A huge blow for Barcelona in light of the upcoming Champions League clash against Inter. FC Barcelona confirm via their official media that Junior Firpo won’t be able to play because of the muscle discomfort in his right leg.
This unfortunate injury to Firpo leaves Barcelona once again without a proper left-back as Jordi Alba is still out with a thigh injury. The Spaniard was replaced in the Borussia Dortmund match two weeks ago.
Mundo Deportivo believe Ernesto Valverde will have to use Nelson Semedo at the left-back position while Sergi Roberto returns at the right-back.
So far this season, Firpo has capped 234 minutes in 4 matches for Barcelona. His first-ever start against Granada turned out to be a nightmare as his early mistake cost the Catalans a goal. However, he did much better against Getafe last week and even scored his debut Barca goal.
