Maxwell Konadu has been named the new coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko ahead of the upcoming Ghana Premier League season.

The Black Stars B manager agreed to take over the job after meeting with the Executive Chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei on Saturday.

Konadu has penned down a 3-years contract with the Porcupine Warriors and will officially be unveiled on Monday at the Club’s Secretariat.

It’s believed that Konadu will receive ¢5,000 a month and will sign a two year deal.

This will be his second stint at the club after coaching the club to clinch the Ghana Premier League in 2011.

Asante Kotoko have had an unimpressive record in the hiring and sacking ot coaches under the Dr. Kwame Kyei administration and Maxwell will be expected to stay with the club for a while.

The Porcupine Warriors recently sacked their Norwegian trainer Kjetil Zachariassen just two months after his appointment.

Konadu becomes the 9th Asante Kotoko manager in 3 years.
