Coach C.K Akunnor has selected 18-man squad for their trip to Cameroon where Asante Kotoko will play as guest to Coton Sports in this year’s CAF Confederations Cup.

The 18-players include two goalkeepers, six defenders, seven midfielders and three strikers.

The goalkeepers comprised Felix Annan and Muntari Tagoe.

The defenders consist of Amos Frimpong, Augustine Sefah, Abass Mohammed, Agyeman Badu, Abdul Ismail Ganiu and Wahab Adams.

The Midfielders are Richard Senanu, Prince Acquah, Umar Basiru, Kwame Bonsu Conte, Stephen Nyarko, Emmanuel Gyamfi as well as Maxwell Baakoh.

Songne Yacouba, Obed Owusu and Abdul Fatawu are the strikers making the trip.

Surprisingly missing from the squad is experienced midfielder Jordan Opoku who knows the Africa terrain very well having played for Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea in different CAF Inter Clubs competition for many years.

But with or without him, the remaining players are eager to deliver victory and take Kotoko back to its glorious days in Africa football.
