Sheikh Tophic Abdul-Kadir Sienu, A member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Communication team has emphasized that, with the plans of the Kurt Okraku-led Ghana Football Association, if we (Ghanaian football stakeholders) are patient we will see what other FAs are doing in their home country in Ghana as well.

He made these comments on Takoradi-based Beach FM’s Beach Sports Tonight show. He said, “The FA have not been in office for ten years. They’ve been in office technically for two and a half years getting to three years but if you look at the interventions they have been able to put in place, in terms of provision of logistics for clubs, facilitating financial processes for clubs, helping the RFAs. A lot is being done and so if we as a people should have patience with the FA, the heights that we’ve seen other FAs climb, we will also get there”.

When quizzed about the state of Prampram, he assured that, “If the [GFA] President is to be around the FA until such a time that the needed resources that he is looking for, he is able to get, the Prampram we will see will match international standards. He has said that he will build a modern gym in prampram that the Black Stars can train in.”

“In terms of sponsorships, under two-years the FA has over 25 sponsors even coming from the back of Covid-19 and the Anas expose. Coaches are now going to Europe to build capacity to come and impart in Ghana” He added.
