Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has enjoyed a dig at pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher.

Both English commentators have claimed City won’t win the Premier League this season.

Guardiola said: “Gary Neville knows how difficult things can be, otherwise he would have won four Premier Leagues in a row during Manchester United‘s heyday. But he didn’t do that. Perhaps they accuse us of being complacent because they themselves were complacent at United.

Micah Richards has not won four Premier League titles in a row and Jamie Carragher has not won a single title. Never ever. This never happened.

“When we lose points people say: ‘You lose points against Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham – what a disaster.’ It’s Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham – what do people expect? So that we can score 120 points and be 20 ahead?

“I’ve heard this many times in seven years. If we don’t win, it’s complacency. If we lose in the semi-finals, we have no character.”
