The agent of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland insists he can be the first €1bn player.

Rafaela Pimenta says her and Haaland’s management are delighted with his impact at City in his first season in England.

Pimenta told AS: “His top level can be something that the football world has not yet experienced. He can reach further than previous players, with everything we know about the human body, training options and nutrition. He’s going to break all the records.

“We sold Pogba for 80 million euros, and people there said it was crazy. Today, many players are worth it. Neymar is at the top when he was sold for 222 million euros.

“The numbers change all the time, and if you ask me, Haaland is worth 1000 million euros.

“Maybe there is no one who wants to pay it, but that is due to his great potential. With him you get fans, goals, results, professionalism, digital content, notoriety and sponsorships.

“If you put all this together, his value is a collection of many things. But the price is determined by the club, and I don’t know anyone who wants to pay 1000 million for a player.”
