The spoils were evenly shared at the Nduom Sports complex when Elmina Sharks hosted Hearts of Oak on Sunday. The two teams faced off in this Match Week 8 encounter with much at stake.
Sharks had an unbeaten home run to protect while Hearts of Oak who were on a 2 game winning streak eyed a continuation of such form.
Elmina Sharks scored the first goal of the game courtesy a strike from James Bissue in the 20th minute. Sharks held on and finished the first half in the lead.
Back from recess, Hearts Coach Kosta Papic urged his boys to push forward. Inside 67 minutes, Victor Aidoo netted the equalizer.
Sharks were dealt a blow when midfielder Benjamin Arthur was sent off for a second bookable offence.
Despite chances for both sides to get a winners, the result stayed same ensuring each side went home with a point.
Elmina Sharks move to 11th o the table with 10 points, while Hearts of Oak now sit 5th on the league log with 12 points.
