Real Tamale United recorded their first win in 2022 on a high with a convincing 2-0 victory over Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday in week 13 of the Ghana Premier League.

All two goals were netted in the first half, with Mustapha Fuseini and Mohammed Sadat getting on the scoresheet at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium.

Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko made three changes to his starting line-up from their previous game against Bechem United, with Martin Akolgo, Hedir Mohammed and returning Abdulai Hafiz getting the nod ahead of Moro Iddrisu, Mathew Abayese and suspended Ronald Frimpong.

It was Bibiani Gold Stars who started perhaps the brighter of the sides with Nuhu Sule having an effort blocked, before Prince Owusu had his carpet shot saved by Osei Yaw in post for RTU.

The hosts then spurned a great opportunity to open the scoring, with Stephen Dankwah blasting a one-on-one effort over the crossbar.

But soon after, the nimble footed youngster laid the ball on for Mustapha Fuseini at the edge of the box – and the University For Development Studies Student smashed the ball into the bottom corner.

The goal put the Red Devils in the ascendancy and minutes later the home side got their second via from the after Yakubu Labandoo was brought down when he went pass Godfred Kyei.
