Black Stars and former Villarreal midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has presented football items to Tamale Real Republicans, the club that natured him tobecome a super star.
The Shenzein player made the donation on Tuesday at the Kaladan Park during the Regional Division Two Sub-Middle League games. Wakaso is in Ghana for Holidays after the end of the Chinese Super League.
The midfield enforcer won the Chinese League with Jiangsu before they ceased operation on 28 February 2021 and disqualified by Chinese Football Association on 29 March 2021. He has since joined Shenzein where he managed 14 games to power Shenzein to the playoffs.
The items include sets of jerseys, footballs and cones valued over thousands of Ghana cedis. Wakaso believes the items will motivate the coaches to produce better players in the future for Ghana.
Receiving the items was Wakaso’s former youth coach Alhassan Yakubu Dawuo now CEO of Republicans, who praised the efforts made by the former Alaves Player and urged other stars to emulate the gesture shown by Mubarak.
