Real Tamale United have join the race to sign highly sought after Medeama Goalkeeper Ofori Antwi after returning to the Ghana Premier League.

The former U-20 and Asante Kotoko goalie will leave Medeama this season after deciding against extending his contract with six months of his deal left.

Reports in the local media indicates Premier League Champions, Accra Hearts of Oak are in the que to sign Ofori, however after picking the Zone One slot on the last day of the season and qualifying after eight years in the Division One, RTU wants to race Hearts for his signature.

The pride of the North in order to boost their defensive capability has made enquiries about the availability of no 1 goal tender of Medeama. The Head Coach of RTU, Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko, who has coached Ofori at some point in his career is leaving no stone unturned to get the Board to strengthen the team.

The 26 year old joined Medeama from Kotoko in 2017 and has since been an integral part of the team, making 14 appearances and keeping 7 clean sheets in the just ended Ghana Premier League.

RTU is not prepared to return to the second tie again and are therefore keen on brokering a deal this window to sign the experience Eric Ofori Antwi.
