The medical committee of the Northern Regional Football Association kick started it's pre-season training and capacity building sessions for districts and clubs at the conference hall of the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

The medical committee of the Northern Regional Football Association kick started it’s pre-season training and capacity building sessions for districts and clubs at the conference hall of the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Opening the session, the NRFA Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo urged participants to be very attentive and focus so as to learn more and later impart same to other club officials and masseurs.

The NRFA Chairman also pledged the RFA’s readiness to resource the medical committee to accomplish its mandate dubbed “Football Health On Wheels” which will see them traveling the length and breadth of the region to educate club and district medics and Masseurs.

The first session had representatives drawn from Tamale Metro, Sagnarigu and Savelugu Municipals, Tolon and Kumbungu Districts respectively.

Led by Dr. George Ansong the committee Chairman and his able assistant Dr. George Darko, together with other committee members, took participants through topics on Covid-19, Resuscitation, Diet and Nutrition, Sports Doping, First Aid as well as managing injuries among others.

The next stop of the “Football Health On Wheels” will be at Yendi where participants will be drawn from clubs and Districts from the Eastern Corridor of the region.
