With the start of the Juvenile Football season set to hit Northern Region the weekend, the Sagnarigu District Football Association has opted to use the Game Centres constructed by the Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo for their matches.

The March anticipated Juvenile football across the Country kicked off last week at various regions, but the spotlight will be in Northern Regions as all DFAs are expected to organised and supervise Juvenile leagues to enhance the development of talents at various stages of the game.

One District that has produced some of the best young footballers in Tamale, including the current U-20 best player in Africa, Issahaku Abdul Fatawu, has adopted the these Game Centres as venues for the Juvenile League.

Last year, the GFA President, Mr Kurt E S Okraku commented Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo and the Regional ExCo members for the good job they have started and pledged his full support for everything they are doing to improve Northern football because it will go a long way to improve Ghana Football.

“In line with your [Kurt Okraku] ‘Game Centre’ mantra, that says we should try as much as possible to create centers that will enable people to converge at one place to play the game and create excitement, I took it upon myself with the able support of the Regional ExCo to do some pitches here such that people will converge at one point and the excitement will be created for the game,” Alhaji Rhyzo said during the tour of the GFA President.
