Northern Ladies beat Bagabaga Ladies in Match Day One of the Unity Cup games in Kumbungu

Bagabaga Ladies FC commenced their 2019 Women’s Unity Cup on a bad note after losing 2-1 to a well organized Ghana women’s premier league side, Northern Ladies.

The Division one league side started the match very well but left wobbling after losing their first choice goalkeeper, Ziblim Farihana to injury in the first department of game.

The Uruguay 2018 U-17 Women’s World Cup Goal Queen’s mother club started throwing in long balls at the new goalkeeper of Bagabaga Ladies to make good use of the hole that might have been created as a results of the first choice goalkeeper’s absence.

The players of the December, 2018 Unity Cup Champions, Bagabaga Ladies put up a 5-Star performance but that could not stop Alhassan Rahama and Jafar Rahama from scoring the two goals for Northern Ladies. The hard tackling midfielder, Yushaw Fuseina dabbed Remirez scored the only goal for Bagabaga Ladies from a sport kick.

Coach Sumani Bashiru’s side, Northern Ladies, the runners up of the December 2018 Unity Cup in Ghanasco performed to expectation in the match. Their performance was enough testimony that their star player and goal poacher, Abdulai Mukarama didn’t leave for USA with the strength of the club.

Meanwhile, Bagabaga Ladies Fc will take on fellow division one league side Yoo Ladies in match Day 2 whiles Northern Ladies FC lock horns with Division one league side, Dahinsheli Ladies.
