Some Fans of Liverpool FC who turned up for the party at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale- Ghana

A crowd of Liverpool fans in the Northern Region were cheering inside the conference room of the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Saturday as Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo threw a victory party to commemorate the club’s title this year.

The Reds were crown champions in England for the first time in 30 years following a dramatic season.

After a triumphant victory last season in the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool outlined their credentials as title favorite when they out muscled Man City to claim what many described as a fantastic season.

Speaking to over hundred supporters at the Aliu Mahama Stadium Conference Hall, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo, a staunch supporter of the club described the victory as incredible after what has been a tough 30 years without the English Premier League Trophy.


” Life in football sometimes is unpredictable. I don’t think many could have predicted what happened in the last two seasons” he said.

” we’ve had a very difficult season and to have finished off like this, is an incredible achievement by this team”

Covid-19 protocols were observed as many of the fans that congregated wore nose masks. Some fans who were there to have fun spoke to Sports24online.com;


” This is amazing, we have been waiting 30 years for this and we thank Allah we finally have it. We will champions again next season” Rasheed said.

An ecstatic fan, Sham- Una, added: we are delighted for the younger generation, it is an amazing moment for Liverpool”.

One Chelsea fan who was invited to the event, Double Double, said he was surprised to see the number of Liverpool fans at the party. ” you know we have been champions before but I didn’t know Liverpool had these numbers in Tamale” he joked.

The colourful event came to an end successfully with prizes given to some thirty supporters after a raffle was conducted.
