After spearheading the inauguration of the East Gonja Municipal FA a couple of weeks ago, the Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo, on Friday, September 18, 2020, led some Exco members to Usher the West Gonja Municipal FA into office.
Inaugurating the MFA, the former CEO of Guan Utd said the setting up of the Association was in line with the GFA plan to manage footballing activities in the Municipality under the supervision of the Regional FA.
Alhaji Rhyzo is convinced that with the caliber of people in the Association, the West Gonja MFA would perform to the best of its ability to change the face of Football in the Municipality.
Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo asked members of the MFA to be resilient and innovative in the dispensation of their duty, which was crucial to the future of the development of football in the area.
Touching on the impact of women football in society, the NRFA Chairman urged stakeholders to form and support the development of women football.
” For women’s football to retain its current strength, and for the region to climb up the rankings, the women’s game, and its players, need to be backed; by administrators, advertisers, the media and the public” Chairman Rhyzo said.
