The Chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo, has reiterated his commitment to build the capacity of clubs through innovative orientation programmes.
He said clubs, especially juvenile are the foundation on which the development of football thrives, and therefore, his desire to pay more attention to the grassroot game.
Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo was speaking at a meeting with representatives of Juvenile, Women’s division one and two clubs at the Aliu Mahama Stadium ahead of the commencement of the new season. The meeting which was the first of its kind after assuming office, discussed among other things preparation towards the start of the new season, branding of the game, juvenile registration incentives and rowdyism.
The Northern Regional FA Chairman described the encounter with the stakeholders as enthusiastic considering the number of clubs in attendance.
He commended club officials for the passion they demonstrated by way of questions during the interaction, but charged them to abreast themselves with current trends of football administration to understand the programmes the RFA will be rolling out to bring sustained development to the game in the region.
Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo is expected to meet other stakeholders in the region as he bids to involve all to improve football programmes in the Northern Region.
