Northern Regional Volleyball Association meets Tamale Mayor

The Northern Regional Volleyball Association led by Rev. George Gado has met the Mayor of Tamale Hon. Sule Salifu on the upcoming volleyball tournament dubbed Mayor’s Cup 2023.
It is the first time the Northern Region is organizing such a unifying and development-oriented competition to unearth and develop volleyball talents in the region.

In his introduction address, Rev. George Gado mentioned that the northern region is still the volleyball basket of Ghana and will require that some of these competitions are organized periodically to identify and develop talents in the region. He said this will create opportunities such as scholarships, joining the security services and improving the livelihoods.
The Mayor of Tamale Hon. Sule Salifu lauded the association for such a well-thought of initiative the will breed more volleyball talents in the region but most importantly was honoured to be made the face of the competition.
In attendance were, the first vice chairman of the association Mr. Raymond Amoh, the PRO of the association Mr. Prince Kwame Tamakloe, the Metropolitan Finance officer affectionately call Abu Fresh and the Metropolitan Coordinating Director.

The tournament will take place at the Tamale Technical University volleyball court.
