The Northern Regional Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo has lauded the new GFA president and the Executive Council for listening to their concerns after fees for Lower tier sides were reduced.

Almost a month ago, the Regional FA Chairmen raised an issue on the amount captured in the statutes which they believed was a bit high for clubs to bear.

The Football Association previously pegged the affiliation fees for division two, division three, Women’s and Colt clubs at a scary one thousand Ghana Cedis leaving many clubs wonder if they can join the Association.

But those concerns raised by The RFAs in a meeting with the Executive Council has yielded positive result as the GFA has now reviewed the packages.

The review now sees Division two clubs asked to pay GH¢500 whiles Division three clubs will pay GH¢300 as affiliation at the regional level.

Women’s division One clubs and all juvenile clubs will now pay GH¢200 as their seasonal affiliation fees for the 2019/20 season.

These adjustments will come as a relief to the lower tier clubs as they prepare for the new season.

Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo said he’s optimistic the FA will find lasting solutions to financial challenges confronting the RFAs after packages were made available for Premier, Division One and the National Women’s.
