Black Satellites management committee member and chairman of the Northern Regional Football Association, Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo, has charged newly elected District Football Association chairmen and Exco members to work hard towards restoring Northern Football to its rightful place.
The former Guan United Chief Executive Officer was speaking after the election of some DFA chairman and Exco members at the Aliu Mahama Stadium Conference Hall.
Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo on behalf of NRFA, congratulated the elected chairmen of the various Districts, and the Executive Council on their election, and urged them to take seriously, the mandate given them to manage their District football.
“I want to congratulate all newly elected chairmen and Exco members across the region for going through an elective process and coming out victoriously. This is an example of the deepening of the democratic process in our country,” said Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo.
Speaking on issues of concern to him in Northern Football, Chairman Rhyzo challenged the DFA to work as a team to restore the love people had in the game. He promised that the Regional Football Association will pay special attention to grassroot football and make it more competitive and exciting.
He assured the football fretanity that his administration have already put in place innovations to address some of the challenges facing football development in the Region, including making the league more competitive and more exciting.
Alhaji Abu Hassan Rhyzo visited some election grounds in the region and said he was happy how the elections were conducted.
